Follow us on a journey with notes of history
and the coolness of the sea

Venizelos Graves/ Agia Triada Monastery/ Gouverneto Monastery/ Stavros Beach/
Marathi Beach

We commence overlooking the history of Chania, stepping on the historic site where the tombs of the Venizelos family are located. We owe the current borders of Greece to Eleftherios Venizelos and the Cretans do not forget it.

We leave the “balcony” of Chania to touch the roots of Orthodoxy in Crete by visiting the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, a monastery built in the 16th century by the Venetians, full of Orthodox relics. The next stop is a literal travel in time as we walk the same paths that the first monks at the Guverneto monastery walked 500 years ago.

This is a monastery built literally inside a rock! We complete our tour by diving into the turquoise waters of Stavros beach and we observe the endless blue of the Greek sky become one with the sea on Marathi beach.

We return full of emotions, images and wonderful carefree moments!
